Blockchain technology expands its application in the management of data and registration in the medical field.

According to a report by Cointelegraph Brasil on September 1, Álvaro de Medeiros Mendonça is one of the first children in that country to have his birth certificate, without having to go through the registration office, only registered with blockchain technology.

Registration was done through the Growth Tech Notarial Ledgers platform, which provides virtual notarial services; as part of a project associated with IBM. This project aims to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles in the birth registration process and make it more efficient and transparent.

Already last April, a South Korean hospital, associated with the Longenesis blockchain medical data market and the biotechnology company Insilico Medicine created a health data management solution based on blockchain technology; which will store and manage the private data of patients, and allow them to control and access their data.

Every day blockchain technology expands its range of applications in very diverse fields. Soon these utilities will stop being news and will become everyday realities.
